Overview

Several subsystems worked in isolation but fought each other in one enclosure. The job was to make them behave as a single dependable platform that a technician could actually service.

01

Challenge

Mismatched interfaces, no shared diagnostics, and failures that were hard to reproduce because no one owned the whole picture. Reliability was a property no single component could deliver.

02

Approach

Defined a clean architecture and interface contracts between subsystems, added end-to-end diagnostics, and designed the assembly so faults are observable and parts are serviceable in the field.

03

Outcome

One coherent platform with predictable behaviour and clear failure modes — issues surface as signals, not mysteries, and service no longer means teardown.
